And 1st try to mold a springs. It not a honey, but sweet like.
So, i need to make next devices (SilverCord-VR “Red”) as close to manufactured as possible. Every device is a complex of details, but an each detail is a complex of small functions i need to use , if I want to produce it. And each functions must be as identical as possible to previous. This is why this period are slow (slower as I think) . Sometime for each detail I need to make several specific tools. And several are ready. 🙂 (And next in progress!!)

And this is not a part of alien ship, this is for middle “arm” part. Looks strange, but I can make all positioning in about 1 minute vs 0,5 to 1 hr (need weld 5 details together + make 2 holes)
This is it. Next needed tool. It not 100% ready, but ok for 5 kit (steel parts are welded, so, I can not finish my tool , because of a little bit different dimensions. But tool are really fine for next 5 beta kits, so, I am happy. Ah ah, tomorrow I will start next stage.
🙂 a lot time for preparations, but I made this about in 1 day. So, next details can be produced fast enough for this stage of our project. I am happy. (related to 2020-01-13 “alien ship detail”)

and this is it. It can be not so complex etc , but I do not want to wait for a lathe, so, it will be ok for this stage. It not precise, about 0,2-0,3 mm , but in this place 1-2 mm positioning is ok

It much closer for test (only to understand a quality of my welding) and if all will be fine, I will weld next 4 bended parts. And I should understand how strong this plywood. (I will make next 8 plywood circle s only after testing).
!! And look like I need to weld next tool – a press for a bearings

… aaand look like 2ton press too weak, so, I will think how to make it.
And press was useless…. 🙂 But I made it. So,
p.s. it not works for bearings, but I use it for another needs.
- my welding conductor works fine. This mean, I can weld next 4 bended big parts
- I need to lathe some (4) details (before weld), look like ready one has wrong holes (I think it should be fast, I hope so)

So, this is the difference between 3500$ professional bending machine (professional manufacturing!!!! ????? 🙂 ) and my 25-35$ DIY bending machine. …… And we are closer next step to metallwork finishing target 🙂 … And yes, my result on the right. Yes, I am 100% serious, this is not a joke. This is why some things are slow. I am forced make tools by myself. (and this exactly tool not for mass production, I need it only for small amount of devices and tests. For mass production will be another type, it will work much faster and more precisely) .

So , this tool works much better then a lot of another tools I can find. But it not the best. I can use it for several SilverCord-VR devices, but for huge amount I will make another type of bending tool (this exactly are most universal, good for small amount, for tests etc , not good for a large amount. But I am happy, it cool.)
